Qualcomm’s Tim McDonough last Thursday announced via Twitter that the Snapdragon 820 will make its debut on November 10, today. We’ve all been waiting for this SoC because as told by Qualcomm on September 15, it’ll have the Quick Charge 3.0 technology by Qualcomm that’ll:
- Help improve fast charging up to 27% or reduces power dissipation by up to 45% when compared to Quick Charge 2.0.
- Charge up to 2x faster than Quick Charge 1.0
And of course, how can we forget about the power that this SoC will possess. It is being said that it’ll have much more power than the Samsung’s Exynos 7420. This SoC will be coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU which will have a 40% improvement in the graphics and 30% better power efficiency. Pretty cool huh? Yep.
And also, recent reports also suggest that this SoC might be powering up the new Samsung Galaxy S7. So, we hope that all these good rumors except come to be true except that nasty overheating one.
