Are you a Nexus user and having some problems and delays in email alerts? Or probably no email notifications at all? Well, you’re not alone. There are some other Android Marshmallow-running Nexus users which are facing the same. This is probably a nasty bug that is causing these delays and missing notifications for apps like Gmail, Inbox and etc.
This problem has already been reported on the Google Nexus Help Forum and the AOSP – Issue Tracker and on the Issue Tracker, more that 400 people have starred it, meaning, this problem is being faced by not only one user, but many. On both the platforms, the Google Nexus reps have already replied and the problem’s status is currently “assigned” under “low priority” so, we know that Google is already working on a fix and it might be rolling out very soon to Nexus device owners very soon via an OTA update.
Some people have reported that this problem has something to do with Marshmallow’s new feature, Doze. And turning it off has helped some of the users, not all.
Are you also facing the same issue? Think you’ve found out a permanent or temparory fix for this? Do tell us in the comments below.
